The main goal of the foundation is to increase women's ability to support themselves and their children. The foundation is specifically interested in funding programs that help support women's progress towards economic self-sufficiency. The foundation's goal is to fund programs assessed to have the highest likelihood of having a direct positive impact on the economic status of women. The Women's Foundation does not make grants to individuals or endowments or for religious or political purposes, equipment or any capital expenses. The Women’s Foundation does not award scholarships to individuals or groups
