The PSEG Foundation invites the nonprofit community to submit an application for program support through the Neighborhood Partners Program RFP. The PSEG Foundation seeks to provide assistance to communities through the lens of diversity, equity and inclusion, and factors impacting the underrepresented to reduce inequalities and inequities.
Awardees will be selected based on demonstrated program effectiveness, depth, breadth and overall alignment with the PSEG Foundation pillars:
The following types of organizations or programs are not eligible for funding:
Requests must be for program support. Consideration will be granted for requests focused on capacity building. They will not consider support for general operating or third party support.
An eligible applicant is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) or a 170(B) organization. The Foundation will fund organizations that serve the PSEG service area. A list of service areas can be seen at https://nj.myaccount.pseg.com/-/media/pseg/global/gathercontentdocuments/6-4psegservicearea/service_territory.ashx. The Science SPARK Partners Program will consider proposals from out-of-school time providers, including afterschool, summer and youth development programs. Organizations applying for event funding must be non-profit but do not require 501(c)(3) status.
In addition to the PSEG communities where the company does business (New Jersey and Long Island service territories) the foundation will also support projects in the company's operating territories. These include: Salem, Burlington and Gloucester Counties in New Jersey, and the areas of Albany, NY, and Bridgeport and New Haven, CT.
Applications were due June 30, 2022. A similar deadline is anticipated annually.
The PSEG Foundation accepts unsolicited grant requests up to $10,000 through the Neighborhood Partners funding program. This includes sponsorships and event support.
