    Summary

    The ESC Texas Instructional Leadership (TIL) Lead grant seeks to provide ongoing support and skill building opportunities to Regional Education Service Centers (ESCs) and districts by funding one fulltime-equivalent (FTE) position solely dedicated to Texas Instructional Leadership. This grant will allow ESCs to grow their internal systems and structures to train, support, and coach ESC TIL coaches as well as support and grow statewide TIL efforts.

    Additional Information

    In addition to the statutory requirements, TEA has established the following program requirements. The applicant must comply with each of these requirements in the application to be considered for funding:

    1. Grant funds are for one full-time equivalent (FTE) dedicated solely to TIL.
    2. Splitting grant funds across multiple personnel is not allowed.
    3. TIL Leads must attend all required statewide trainings, meetings, and one-on-one coaching visits with TEA designated points of contact.
    4. The grant program will be funded by reimbursement once the NOGA has been issued and the grantee submits payment requests through the Expenditure Reporting (ER) system. See Expenditure Reporting

    All 20 Regional Education Service Centers are eligible to apply.

    Deadline Details

    Applications are to be submitted by July 12, 2024. A similar deadline is expected annually.

    Award Details

    Total funding available is $3,300,000, in which 20 grants will be awarded at $165,000.
